The 14th Anniversary Commemoration Benefit is a fund-raiser for Citizens for the Extension of the James Zadroga Act, Inc., a grass roots advocacy group whose purpose is to promote and build nationwide support for the extension of the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act, which expires in 2016.
Over 1,000 people have died from 9/11 illnesses. If the Zadroga Act expires, over 70,000 responders and survivors will lose medical monitoring services and thousands will lose medical care provided through the World Trade Center Health Program. In addition, those eligible under the Victims Compensation Fund will see their benefits slashed in half.
Now is the time to ensure that the Zadroga Act is continued, and the heroes and heroines of 9/11 receive care and benefits they deserve and need. We need your help to continue our work.
