WASHINGTON, DC — Benjamin Chevat, Executive Director of Citizens for the Extension of the James Zadroga Act today stated, “We applaud Members of Congress Andrew Garbarino, Anthony D’Esposito, Nick LaLota and Mike Lawler for continuing to be steadfast in the fight for full funding for the World Trade Center Health Program and to make sure that 9/11 responders and survivors continue to get the health care and medical monitoring they need and deserve.

We are gratified and appreciate their efforts to ensure that their Republican leadership understands the impact that the toxins from the 9/11 attacks have had on so many, not only from New York, but from 434 Congressional Districts out of 435 Districts nationwide and why the World Trade Center Health programs lifesaving services that so many rely on need to be fully funded.”

Background:

Citizens for the Extension of the James Zadroga Act Inc was created by a broad coalition of unions and advocates who worked over the years to build Congressional support for 9/11 responders and survivors and their families.
