February 28th 2023:  Citizens for the Extension of the James Zadroga Act participated in a press conference at the U.S. Capitol by Senators Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), Charles Schumer (D-NY) Cory Booker (D-NJ), Robert Menendez (D-NJ)  Members of Congress Andrew Garbarino (R-NY), Jerrold Nadler (D-NY), Anthony D ’Esposito (R-NY), Dan Goldman (D-NY) on the introduction of their bi-partisan legislation, the 9/11 Responder and Survivor Health Funding Correction Act of 2023 HR.1294/ S.569. Joining the elected officials were John Feal, 9/11 Advocate , Edward Kelly, General President, International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) Ryan Delgado, President, Citizens for the Extension of the James Zadroga Act and Chief of Staff, New York State AFL-CIO, James McCarthy, President, Uniformed Fire Officers Association (UFOA), IAFF Local 854, Vincent Vallelong, President, NYPD Sergeants Benevolent Association (SBA), Mariama James, NYC Community Survivor and Nate Coward, Pentagon Responder.
